Black Oil Sunflower's thin shells make them accessible to birds of all sizes - even the smallest of finch. Striped Sunflower Seeds are similarly nutritious, but their larger size will limit the amount of birds able to eat them. This ensures that even is all the black oil gets eaten by other birds, there will always be seeds left for the Cardinals to enjoy! Safflower is a less known seed is beloved by avid birders for its ability to attract a wide variety of beautiful birds while deterring some feeder hogs.
